Wantage is a thriving market town in the Vale of White Horse, South Oxfordshire. With a population of around 12,000, it offers the perfect balance of independent high street shopping, excellent schools and countryside access, while remaining well-connected via the A34 and A338.
The town is the birthplace of King Alfred the Great and has a rich history dating back to the Saxon period. Today it's home to a vibrant community, a regular market on Market Place, and a range of restaurants, pubs, cafes and independent shops that make it one of South Oxfordshire's most liveable towns.
The adjacent village of Grove (also OX12) provides significant additional housing stock, modern primary schools and easy access to all Wantage amenities.
